A Poem for Homeschooling Mothers

O the life of a homeschooling mother is never dull

Aren’t we having a ball?

Food in the baby’s hair

Do I really care?

candle-1We burn the candle at both ends

As we keep our sanity on the mends

We go about as we cook and clean, discipline and school

Many say that we are a fool

The house is always messed

We don’t even have anyone dressed.

Many o’ hours we see being spent   laundry

Yet in the laundry we haven’t even made a dent

crayon  There are crayons, toys, and books scattered everywhere

Say something to us if you dare

Reading, writing and arithmetic, oh my

How does the time fly

Then as they grow

And their lives start to flow

We realize that this chapter is coming to a close

As we see them blossom like a rose.

What an amazing blessing we have been given

To care for and make sure they are driven

Eagerly following the path that HE has set

Carefully filling their life silhouette   silhouette

Here is to everyone out there who is a mother to someone.  May you find peace as your child fills their silhouette according to God’s plan.
